Local-first by design
Kainoter stores your notes, tasks, reminders, preferences and creative drafts on your device. It does not operate a Kainoter cloud account or upload your workspace to a Kainoter-controlled server.
Optional iCloud sync
If you explicitly enable iCloud Sync, Kainoter saves a workspace record in your private Apple iCloud database so your Apple devices can stay up to date. You can turn sync off at any time. Your Apple ID is handled by Apple and is not shared with Kainoter.
Permissions
Camera, photo library and microphone access are requested only when you choose a feature that needs them. You can deny or revoke these permissions in iOS Settings.
Optional device calendars
If you connect a device calendar, Kainoter copies scheduled-item titles, due dates and links back to the app into the calendar you choose. Private note content is not copied. That calendar may sync through its existing provider or be shared with others. You can disconnect in Settings; existing calendar copies remain. Calendar changes are not imported into Kainoter.
Backups
Kainoter keeps a rotating set of local safety copies on your device and creates one before replacing data during restore or sync. You can also export a portable backup and choose where it is saved or shared. Backup files can contain private content, so keep exported files somewhere secure.
App Lock
If you enable App Lock, authentication is performed by the operating system using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Kainoter does not receive or store your biometric information.
Deletion
You can move notes and folders to Trash, restore them, or delete them permanently. Deleting the app removes locally stored data unless you previously exported a backup.
Analytics and advertising
This release does not include third-party advertising, behavioral tracking or a Kainoter analytics service.
Important limitation
Kainoter is a productivity and creative-writing tool. Generated writing suggestions may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use.
This website
This support website does not ask for your notes or workspace. It does not use advertising or tracking scripts. Its hosting provider may process routine connection information, such as IP addresses, to serve and secure the website.
